The mechanics are straightforward: users need to feed their killifish every three days and maintain the tank's cleanliness. Over time, the killifish will grow and can breed with compatible adults measuring at least 2 cm in length. The offspring will inherit traits from their parents, adding an interesting layer of genetic progression to the gameplay.

A maximum of 50 killifish can be maintained across up to 5 aquariums, with a limit of 10 fish per tank, providing ample opportunity for users to curate their aquatic environments.
